Vintage siam thailand niello - Gem。Authentic antique Siam (Thailand) sterling silver niello belt buckle - featuring a detailed Buddha or deity figure in fine silver against the characteristic deep-black niello background that defines this traditional Southeast Asian metalwork. Niello is an ancient technique in which a black sulfide alloy is fused into engraved silver - producing a striking dark-and-light contrast that ages beautifully. This piece weighs 17.25g and has been acid-tested and Sigma-tested as solid .925 sterling silver - confirming its precious metal authenticity. Condition is Good - natural patina and wear consistent with vintage and antique sterling silver - the niello detail remains crisp and the sterling has a rich aged surface. Colors are dramatic black niello with silver figurework. Compact rectangular form - fits a standard belt with bar attachment. Likely produced mid-20th century when Siam silver was prized as a tourist and export item from Thailand. Ideal for sterling silver collectors - niello and Siam silver enthusiasts - Buddhist and spiritual jewelry collectors - and anyone seeking a museum-quality antique silver buckle with verified precious metal content. A genuinely fine piece with provenance you can trust.
