Sold at Auction: 18K GOLD ARNEX POCKET WATCH。Vintage 1970s - 1980s gold-plated pocket watch. This one is part of the “Hunter” series of Arnex watches. The outer case shows a hunting dog chasing a stag. It has a beautiful white face with a delicate floral motif and comes with a long 30” chain that is removable. It has the “Incabloc” shock absorption feature and most likely has the “ETA 6498” movement (famous for this series of pocket watches.) The face cover is acrylic, has Roman numerals & a separate second hand in the VI position. This watch runs perfectly & keeps accurate time! It is analog with a manual winding mechanism, so there are no pesky batteries that need changing. Just keep it wound up and you are good to go! Some of the gold plating is peeling off the front side of the case, revealing the base metal underneath, that gives it that look & feel of antiquity. The back side is in very near pristine condition. This watch will last the rest of your life if properly taken care of! ⏱️
