Release date. 9/29/2016 some history Having a size 13 NikeLab Air Force 1 Low \"Purple Stardust\" with a 9-29-16 production date code on the tag is rare primarily due to the timeline of its manufacturing and the limited production nature of the NikeLab line. Manufacturing vs. Retail Timeline Production vs. Release: The dates on a Nike size tag typically indicate the start and end of the manufacturing window. While this colorway officially hit retailers in January 2017, shoes are manufactured months in advance to build inventory. A date of 9-29-16 suggests this pair was among the earliest production runs for the 2017 launch. Early Production Pairs: These \"early\" pairs from 2016 are often the ones used for promotional previews or sent to high-tier NikeLab accounts first. Rarity Factors for Size 13 NikeLab Distribution: NikeLab releases are not mass-produced like standard Air Force 1s. They are premium, limited-run drops typically restricted to NikeLab flagship stores and high-end boutiques. Size Distribution: In limited \"boutique\" releases, production numbers are heavily skewed toward middle sizes (9–11). Large sizes like 13 are manufactured in much lower quantities, making \"deadstock\" (new in box) pairs in that size extremely difficult to find years later.Full Presentation: Finding a nearly decade-old pair that still has the original box and internal stickers is a rarity in the collector market, as most pairs from this era have been worn or separated from original packaging.
